Pair with basil, mint, tomatoes, ice cream - hard to go wrong! Peaches are ripe when the "shoulders" give to gentle pressure.
Store on the counter, or in a paper bag if you'd like them to ripen more quickly; store in the fridge or a cool place to slow ripening. Handle as little as possible to avoid bruising. Peaches freeze or dry excellently for longer term storage (or for all your future trail snacks and smoothies).
Sourced this week from Oregon & Washington organic farms. Hood River peaches will be back in a couple of weeks.
