This delicious and slightly unusual-looking melon goes by many names: piel de sapo, skin of the toad, Christmas, and Santa Claus. Ours are grown locally at Well Rooted outside Tumalo, Oregon.

The flavor of these is sweet and mild, more similar to a honeydew than a cantaloupe. They make for great snacks and additions to fruit salads.

Average around 4lbs per melon.
